Magnolia x soulangeana - Saucer Magnolia - Plant in 2 L Pot

 Magnolia x soulangeana, also known as the Saucer Magnolia, is a stunning deciduous ornamental tree originally native to East Asia. It was first introduced to the UK in the early 19th century, where it quickly became one of the most admired spring‑flowering garden trees thanks to its spectacular display and reliable performance in British gardens. Magnolia x soulangeana is prized for its large, goblet shaped flowers in shades of soft pink, rose, and white which appear in early spring bloom, often before the leaves emerge, creating a dramatic display. Magnolia x soulangeana has a compact, rounded habit ideal for gardens of all sizes and excellent cold tolerance, making it well suited to the UK climate. Easy to grow in most fertile soils, except chalky soils, in full sun or semi shade. This plant can be used in a mixed planting or as a stand alone specimen in the garden or can very successfully be grown in a pot or other container. Use a good quality compost.  Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 8-9 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year.
